Follow these steps to setup Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) for PyraCloud.
- Mobile phone with Android or iOS operating system
- Login and password for the PyraCloud Portal
If you see the screen below after logging in to PyraCloud, please follow the steps outlined below.
Step 1: Install Authenticator Application
Using your mobile phone, install an Authenticator application (like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator). We are showing Google Authenticator as our example, however the steps outlined are similar for other authenticator applications.
Run the application, read the opening information. Then choose “Scan a QR code” as shown below.
Point your mobile phone camera onto the barcode on the PyraCloud page and wait for the data to be added to your application.
Existing Authenticator Application
If you already have an Authenticator application installed – run it and then tap on the “Plus” sign in the bottom right corner (as shown below). Then choose “Scan QR Code”. Once done, point your mobile phone camera to the screen and wait for the application to finish scanning the QR code.
If you have trouble scanning the QR Code – choose the “Trouble scanning?” option on the PyraCloud login screen and write down the presented code as shown below.
Then on your Authenticator app choose “Enter a setup key” and provide your account name, secret code and choose your preferred time criteria.
Step 2: Provide OTP code for completing the login
After you perform the above mentioned steps successfully, your account should be on a list similar to this one:
Each account will be shown in a separate row. The six digit password is the OTP code you will need to enter on the PyraCloud login page when promoted.
The pie chart on the right denotes how long the code is valid (30 seconds). Be aware that entering the code with only a few seconds left may result in an unsuccessful login. It is best to wait for the code to refresh.
Next, provide the OTP password on the PyraCloud login screen and click “Continue“:
You should be redirected successfully to PyraCloud!
NOTE: Once you have logged into PyraCloud with the OTP password, you will NO LONGER need to scan the code when logging in. Simply visit your Authenticator application and enter the generated code:
